RIDING
On horseback on the tracks of King Arthur in Vergante
A summer day on horseback on the paths of the Vergante, green area between Lake
Maggiore and Lake Orta. Keep the Camelot riding school in Massino Visconti as starting
point: to reach it, leave Lesa continue towards Massino
Visconti and once you have passed the village climb towards San Salvatore. And finally
CAMELOT!
Matteo will follow you step by step helping you prepare your day in the best possible
way… on horseback! He will assign you the most suitable horse. Moreover, before leaving,
you will visit the saddle room to find the right size hat: it is always best to ride in
safety!
Leaving the stables, head towards the woods. A few minutes of asphalt immediately
follow by the path to San Salvatore.
It will take around a quarter of an hour to reach Cascina Pianzaghi, welcomed by an
immense green stretch…
The ride continues: amongst green stretches and wonderful views the path leads to an
exceptional panoramic terrace, from which the view spans over lakes and mountains…
a breathtaking spectacle, even more emotional as combined with the joy of sharing it
with our horse friends!
It is time to return to the riding school, following a path that loops back to the starting point.
There are many other routes in this area: from the most demanding of 2 or more hours
(for example to Monte della Croce di Tapigliano or Sasso del Pizzo) to the possibility of
organising whole day treks: whilst novices, using well-trained horses, can follow simple
paths of an hour, for example, those on the hills overlooking Massino Visconti offering,
on one side, a striking view of the three lakes and, on the other, infinite landscapes up
to Monte Rosa. Rides, whose main aim is that of relaxing surrounded by nature and
